KaBOOM!® and Playworld Systems®: Partners in Play Since 2000
Celebrating ten years of creating great playspaces through the volunteer power and grassroots leadership of communities, KaBOOM! is a national non-profit that believes in the power of play to create healthier, happier kids, and stronger, more united communities. At KaBOOM!, we envision a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America.

KaBOOM! has worked with Playworld Systems to build over 1,000 community-build playground and skatepark projects across America. Playworld Systems' expertise, superior product, customer service and enthusiasm for the KaBOOM! community-build model have been vital to the success of these community building playspace projects.
There was a sense of gratification upon completing the build like I've never felt before. I feel that I have made a difference.

Rally

Operation Playground: Bringing Play back to the Gulf Coast
Operation Playground is a two year KaBOOM! initiative to build 100 playgrounds in Gulf Coast communities affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. As with all KaBOOM! builds, each Operation Playground project features Playworld Systems equipment.
To mark the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Playworld Systems joined KaBOOM! cosponsor The Home Depot and 3,000 volunteers to build ten new playgrounds and a LifeTrail in just four days. Playworld Systems donated all of the equipment for each of these builds.
Kicking off the first anniversary week project in New Oreleans, Matt Miller, president of Playworld Systems told volunteers, "Recreation is a vital element to people of all ages, and we are dedicated to helping those affected by this disaster restore some sort of normalcy to their lives and their communities. Gulf Coast communities need a helping hand, and Playworld is proud to be part of this effort."
