For more information, contact: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lewisburg, PA (August 17, 2005) – Playworld Systems Inc., a local recreational equipment manufacturer and the Lewisburg Area Recreation Authority (LARA) will host an extreme sports demo with seven of the top extreme sports professionals as part of the grand opening of the new 22-acre Lewisburg Area Recreation Park at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20. Franky Morales, one of the world’s best inline skaters, and Chris Edwards, the “godfather of inline skating” lead an all-star crew that includes skateboarders Steve Hernandez and Casey Rigney, and BMX bikers Andy Alvarez, Ryan O’Connell and Matt Lippott. All seven will dazzle the crowd before hosting action sports clinics and signing autographs for all in attendance. |

“Chris and Franky are two of the biggest names in the fast growing sport of inline skating,” said Dale Miller, CEO of Playworld Systems. “This is a rare opportunity to see them skate together in the same park – it’s like having Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb on the same baseball diamond.” The extreme sports demo will showcase the proper way to use the equipment and a professionally lead clinic will provide further safety and skill instruction to skaters and bikers. Autograph signing sessions with the pros will be held at the completion of the demonstrations. The skate park, designed by Playworld System’s Woodward Ramps & Rails brand, features a variety of equipment for skate boarders, inline skaters, and BMX bikers. The ramps and rails are field-tested at world-renowned Camp Woodward where many extreme sports professionals train. The event is open to the public and will be part of a day full of activities at the park.
