For more information, contact: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lewisburg, PA (November 28, 2007) -- For the fifth time in six years, Playworld Systems, Inc. has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA.. The award program, created in 2000, is one of the first of its kind offered by a state in the country. The program is a public/private partnership of Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Central Penn Business Journal. “We are truly honored to receive this award again,” said Playworld Systems CEO Dale Miller. “We place a lot of value on our employees and we are glad those efforts have made a positive impact on our staff.” Playworld Systems was previously recognized as one of the 100 Best Places to Work in 2005, 2004, 2003, and 2001. This year Playworld will be honored at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center. The final rankings will be revealed at the ceremony. |

The survey and award program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The Best Places to Work in PA program is made up of 100 companies split into two groups: 50 medium-sized companies (25-250 employees) and 50 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). Playworld Systems competes in the larger of the two categories with 275 employees. Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in PA. The first part is an evaluation of each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics, which make up 25% of the overall score. The second part, which makes up 75% of the overall score, is an employee survey to measure the workforce experience. Employees are surveyed on three areas: Individual Perspective, Workgroup Perspective, and Organization Perspective. They are asked questions that reflect their feelings and beliefs about their organization’s credibility, respect for employees, fairness, employee pride in the company, and camaraderie. Nearly 20,000 Pennsylvania employees filled out the survey. Combined scores from both parts determined the top companies and the final ranking.
