History
International Exposure
Over time, our customer base has expanded and now includes a significant volume
of international business. Our first European presence was launched in 1996.
Located in Herefordshire, England, it acts as a warehouse and sales office for our
United Kingdom markets. In 2001, our second international office opened in Paris,
France. Through these offices, we manage our distributors throughout Europe, Asia,
the Middle East and South America.

Playworld Systems is proud to be ISO 9001:2000 certified. ISO 9001:2000 is a
comprehensive quality standard that applies to companies that design, manufacture,
and service products. It is recognized and accepted as a quality certification program
around the world. The ISO standards contain stringent criteria with respect to quality
systems and the processing of customer orders.
All facets of a business including product design, engineering, purchasing,
manufacturing, sales, customer service, quality assurance and shipping are covered
by ISO criteria. Certification is awarded to those companies that demonstrate
commitment to and performance in manufacturing and shipping high quality products.
Playworld Systems is a founding member of IPEMA and is committed to producing
products that meet or exceed ADA and CPSC guidelines, and ASTM, EN, and CSA
standards. Our products are also backed by the most comprehensive warranties in
the industry, attesting to the high-quality standards of the products, the work force
and the management.

Our company is nationally recognized for excellence in design, having won two gold
medals in the prestigious International Industrial Design Excellence Awards, two
Recreation Resources Awards, a gold medal from International Design Magazine,
two Early Childhood Directors' Choice Awards and the Recreation Resources'
Editors' Choice Awards for Safety Excellence.
We recognize that our success results from the collective effort of everyone who
works here. Playworld Systems received the coveted 100 Best Places to Work in
Pennsylvania Award in 2001, 2003 and 2004. In 2002, Playworld Systems earned
the prestigious Governor's Award for Safety Excellence.
